FRANçois lamoureux

Mr. Lamoureux has over 20 years of experience in capital investment, corporate structuring, capital procurement, and business development. Prior to joining CXC, Mr. Lamoureux co-founded Fogo® where he completed over 200 film and media productions with market returns in excess of $250 million winning a Grammy, two Emmys and two Junos, among many others. Projects include Leonard Cohen, The Who, Harry Connick Jr, Rush, deadmau5, The Pretenders, Dream Theater for clients such as PBS, Warner Music Group, Universal, Warner, Sony, JVC etc. His love for science has seen him teach high school science as well as initiating and running many R&D projects over the years. On the business side, Mr. Lamoureux has won the Desjardins under 35 Laureat business prize and is a two time winning mentor at the Dobson Cup. He holds a Bachelor of Music from McGill University, is the vice-chairman of the McGill Schulich School of Music Faculty Advisory Board, and is a member of the American Bar Association. He also sits on the McGill Campaign Cabinet.

WILLIAM MARK METHOT

Mr. Methot has expertise in M&A strategies, business analytics, reactive marketing, e-commerce, and he participated in the different stages of market positioning for products and services. Mr. Methot co-founded DevBuddy (custom marketing services), Saasquash Technologies (software development and implementation), Ovrpass (web-based HR), and WorkAxle (workforce management). He was a financial analyst and M&A specialist at Thornhill Capital. He holds a bachelor’s degree in administration from Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business.

MICHAEL KARRAS

Michael Karras holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from H.E.C. During his extensive career in accounting and taxation, he provided added value business consulting services, finance, and taxation advice to many clients in the music, construction, real estate, and technology corporations with a heavy R&D content. In his spare time, he is finishing a Physics-Economics degree.

His interests are in non- linear capital markets models, quantum finance, financial asset pricing, and carryovers from modern physics quantitative models to capital markets. He brings a rare combination of finance and science to CXC. He is also a member of the Canadian Economics Association and the Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP). He has been on numerous boards of directors of both private and TSX listed corporations.

Recently is has been nominated as a portfolio manager for the Bishops University SEED portfolio in charge of the basic material sector.

FIONA ALLUM

FULL BIO

Dr. Allum holds a PhD in Human Genetics and a Master of Applied Science in Biotechnology from McGill University. Her post-doctoral research was conducted at the Bourque and Pastinen labs at McGill. Her doctoral research was conducted at the Grundberg lab of Human Genetics. She is an expert in bioinformatics, data analysis, and research coordination.

DR. MABOOD

Dr. Mabood earned his Ph.D. at McGill University’s Department of Plant Sciences.

Dr. Mabood has more than 20 years’ experience in plant physiology, soil microbiology and plant-microbe interactions, specializing in biofertilizers, biostimulants, bioprotection and the identification of new biological entities. Recently Dr. Mabood worked as a Senior Scientist at Concentric Ag where he was responsible for studying the mode of action of microbial products for the phytomicrobiome. Previously, he worked at Inocucor Technologies Inc., where he was responsible for conducting studies on new microbial product development for the phytomicrobiome and creating Intellectual Property. His work at McGill and in industry has earned him several reports of invention (ROIs) and patents. His work at CXC focuses on Intellectual Property creation and the development of new products for biostimulation, biofertilizers and bioprotection of crop plants.

Katherine Brown holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion with certification in Disability Management from Dalhousie University and a Master of Science in Global Health with a concentration on Global Disease Burden, Challenges and Changes from McMaster University. She is an expert in research management and project coordination with a demonstrated history of working in the pharmaceuticals industry.
